ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND CULTURAL RECOVERY FUND.
We are so excited to announce that ID Studios / ID Academy are among more than 2,700 recipients to benefit from the latest round of awards from the £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund from the ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND. The second round of awards made today will help organisations to look ahead to the spring and summer and plan for reopening and recovery. After months of closures and cancellations to contain the virus and save lives, this funding will be a much-needed helping hand for organisations transitioning back to normal in the months ahead.

HOW WILL THIS HELP US?
We have been awarded this money in order to try and increase accessibility and diversity of the arts within our local area, with our studio being predominantly female, also with parts of Canvey falling under the under-privileged sector, we will now be creating 3 BRAND NEW COMMUNITY CLASSES which are open to ALL.
TUESDAYS 6-7PM - BOYS ONLY STREET STYLES.
This will be our first ever boys class and taught by our wonderful Joe Davis. Get your Son into something new, a new focus, a new challenge and something to drive them to new heights. This class is part funded by the Arts Council England and will be just £3. |
SATURDAY STREETDANCE - 10.30-11.30 AND 11.30-12.30PM. Our first ever weekend class is now able to take place at the studio. 10.30- 8 and under's / 11.30- Over 8's, this class will be taught by the incredibly talented Abbie Mason and at just £3 we can assure you...

THE COMMUNITIES THOUGHTS OF ID ACADEMY UK
"I have 2 children who are part of ID Academy, they have been since they were 2 and 3, now they are 6 and 8. ID has made a massive difference to my children’s lives! My 6 year old has struggled with confidence in large groups and ID has played a massive part of her coming ‘out of herself’ and feeling comfortable in large groups. My son started when he was 3, he used to go once a week and now he has now progressed to different styles and part of the competition squad where has won trophies, as well as this he is now signed to a talent agency and this is all down to ID. ID Academy is a massive part of our lives and without it my children would definitely be missing out on so much!! I attend the adults class and there’s nothing like it out there, I get to be ‘me’ exercise, learn something I’ve always wanted to learn and socialise!!"

"My daughter has been dancing with ID Academy for 5 years now, it has been a massive boost to her confidence and has given her a group of friends away from school. Scarlett is now at secondary school and I feel it is really important for clubs away from the school to remain open. Scarlett has attended anti-bullying workshops at ID as well as summer camps in the school holidays, it is not just a dance school it is a place our children can go and let off steam in a safe environment with people that really care about them"

"Idance is a productive environment for the youth in our community. It gives children of all ages a platform for interaction, discipline, mental health, direction, fitness, mentor ship and mostly as a springboard for children to develop their skills as best they can. From a personal point of view my child has found so much encouragement and support over 8 years to push himself and develop his confidence and talents into the early stages of a promising career. He has now been offered a place at a performing Arts secondary school. This is all made possible through Sian and her dedicated team."
